how we Walk the walk
We think that financial donations are an effective way to care for others. Yet for us, that alone is a lost opportunity. We believe that our fulfillment, joy, and growth come from real human interactions — sharing laughters, struggles, and dreams with the people around us.
Every team member of Ulai Health is rewarded with 40 hours of paid community engagement and volunteer hours in addition to individual benefits and pay each year. We foster a culture of “serving” by not only talking the talk, but also walking the walk. We actively empower our team members to freely serve those in need without having to worry about lost wages.
compassionate leaders build a better tomorrow
Sometimes, we hear that as a small business, we should only focus on increasing the return on investment, improving cash-flow, and spending more money on marketing and advertisements.
we learn to serve our customers and partners better
as we serve our neighbors in need.
Our Focus of Giving
1. Disadvantaged Military & Veterans
At Ulai Health, we stand by disabled veterans, wounded warriors, and their families.
We believe that our brothers and sisters in arms, who have made monumental sacrifices for our freedom, should not be homeless or unemployed because of their injury, disability, or disease.
We give back to help them heal and gain sustainable employment. We dream of a world where they no longer struggle to find a place to sleep or to feed their children. Our heroes deserve to thrive in the civilian world as the brave warriors that they are.
2. Impoverished Children
Every child deserves to live, and live without hunger.
Across the world, 3.1 million children die before they reach their 5th birthday because of health issues, caused by hunger and the lack of nutrition. 5 children have died while you are reading this. 5 more precious lives will never get to see another day every minute forward from this one.
These children may not be related to us. Perhaps, we do not have anything in common with them. But deep in our hearts, we all know that their lives are just as valuable as ours and our loved ones. Together, we can save children from extreme poverty and restore them back to health.
3. Underprivileged Seniors
We combat elderly poverty and sickness in an aging world.
Imagine if you wake up one day in hunger and pain that stays with you every moment of your life. Around the world, there are currently 197 million elderly neighbors who live in poverty. The majority of them suffer from critical medical conditions without access to medical care.
Among those fortunate enough to have an access to care, they are forced to choose between healthcare and food. As a health company, we take this issue to heart. We will continually find ways to make healthcare more accessible for underprivileged seniors by reducing the cost of care and improving clinical outcomes for patients.
